Brown Dogg is an Australian owned and operated family company. Chris Brown has surfed the South Coast of New South Wales for the last 30 years on boards from one fin through to five. In an era of conformity where we see identical boards pop out of shaping machines in Australia and overseas, Chris builds boards that celebrate the uniqueness of each surfer and the simple joys of surfing handcrafted surfboards from traditional noseriders to high performance longboards and fishes.

No two waves are alike, and each surfer has their own unique style, wave preference, weight, height and ability. Creating a custom board is entering into a dialogue about where you want to go on a wave, re-living the smooth carving turns of a seventies single-fin or cutting radical turns on a modern quad-fish.

Chris will listen to what you want from a custom board, talk to you about what you are currently riding and work with you to design a board that's just right. If you are lucky enough to surf on the South Coast there's a good chance Chris will have seen you surfing and have insight into your style and ability.
